Job Description Summary

Position Objective: The Flooring Solutions Technician 3 will coordinate with the leadership team to provide an exemplary level of service to our customers, demonstrate skills and performance in the use, operation, set up and repair of all company equipment. This position requires the individual to demonstrate a level of professionalism through positive communication and appearance that will be respected by other service personnel.

• Performs all levels of repair, dismantles and reassembles/rebuilds equipment, fabricates parts and equipment as required.
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electrical equipment problems and determines preventive maintenance needs.
• Tracks rental equipment inventory, coordinates deliveries, pick-ups and service calls with customers.
• Maintains warehouse and wash bay areas, cleans and installs all necessary parts to meet standards.
• Operates company vehicle safely, maintains a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
• Maintains and tracks company tools and supplies, reports defects to supervisor.
• Communicates professionally with customers, managers and employees to schedule deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Completes appropriate paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups and service calls, and directs customers to sign paperwork.
• Delivers and installs rented equipment, trains authorized operators on safe use.
• Implements and executes proper and safe procedures in collaboration with managers, Equipment Rental Specialists and Sales Engineers.
• Is on call for emergency service and is available on a rotating schedule for emergency service response calls on weekends and evenings.
• Cleans and tests returned equipment, ensuring operation and appearance meet standards.
• Successfully troubleshoots and fully understands the operation, function, specifications, capabilities and controls of rental equipment, including advanced electrical motors and controls.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 5+ years of mechanic experience with IC engines, propane, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• Must provide mechanic’s tools of trade.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills; ability to prioritize work assignments.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• High degree of safety awareness; working knowledge of equipment design and safety requirements.
• Prior floor care equipment experience strongly preferred.

$24.05 - $33.06 per hour, starting rate of pay may vary based on factors, including position offered, location, education, training and/or experience.
