Overview
Field Service Technician in New Augusta, IN, US. Travel to customer facilities to install, commission, and start up industrial equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and provide on-site and remote technical support.
Responsibilities- Install, commission, and start up industrial equipment at customer facilities
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Diagnose and repair PLC controlled machinery and automation equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service calls
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation
- Train customers on proper operation and maintenance procedures
- Complete service reports and communicate findings with customers and internal teams
- Provide technical support both onsite and remotely
- 3+ years of field service, maintenance, controls, automation, or industrial troubleshooting experience
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, motors, sensors, and industrial controls preferred
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Comfortable traveling extensively throughout the United States
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport if needed
A growing manufacturer of industrial cutting equipment is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their service team. This role is ideal for a mechanically and electrically inclined technician who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, traveling to customer sites, and working independently.
This position will support the installation, maintenance, repair, and training of customers on highly automated industrial machinery throughout the Midwest.
