Overview
Provide safe and efficient maintenance, including repair, engine run, taxi and troubleshooting aircraft at various MX locations as assigned to minimize delays, cancellations, and OOS impacts. Execute planned and unplanned maintenance tasks in accordance with the appropriate Manuals. Communicate exceptions as they occur and create accurate and complete write-ups with all inputs in a timely manner. Additionally, when there is no manager or lead onsite, accept the daily work release plan.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma/GED Current A&P Licenses required. Valid non-restricted driver’s license from the state of residence.
Minimum ExperienceThirty-six (36) months aircraft maintenance experience on turbine powered Aircraft that exceed 12,500 lbs. MEW. Previous experience does not include A&P school and training.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Ability to determine Aircraft System failures, troubleshoot and repair.
- Ability to use test equipment.
- Ability to interpret and adhere to all A/C manuals.
- Ability to attain engine run and taxi certifications as directed.
- Ability to attain aircraft tow operator certification as directed.
- Ability to complete all Aircraft parts replacements procedures.
- Ability to maintain and service Aircraft systems in a Line and Hangar environment.
- Sufficient computer skills to access and complete electronic AML procedures and computer-based training modules.
- Ability to meet all training requirements in a timely manner.
- Aware of hazardous situations and able to handle emergencies as needed.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment under specific deadlines and time constraints.
- Ability to work well with others as part of a team and under stressful situations.
- Ability to remain alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment effectively.
- Capability to communicate information and instructions in writing, verbally, or via radio equipment.
- Provides friendly service and maintains positive relationships with Internal and External customers.
- Works in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of our Company.
- Ability to perform all job functions within cramped and confined spaces, heights, hazardous areas, and various weather conditions.
- Able to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, stoop frequently and for extended periods.
- Support, adhere, and perform company and Regulatory security-related directives.
- Able to obtain required airport certifications and approval of airport access.
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs. and maneuver heavy A/C related Components, parts, and equipment regularly.
- Willing and able to work with and mentor new and inexperienced team members.
FAA covered safety sensitive position. Subject to regulatory alcohol & drug testing, which includes testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine & opioids. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. A valid non-restricted driver license from the state of residence is required.

Skills:
Taper sanding, wet lay-ups, prepreg hot bonds, core replacement, metal to metal bonding, complex vacuum bagging, and identifying materials and references. The desired location for this position would be Indianapolis, Indiana. Employees will be required to work at the Fed Ex location five days a week.
