Role Description The Avionics Maintenance Technician performs inspection, troubleshooting, repair, modification, and functional testing of aircraft avionics and electrical systems in support of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities. Working under limited supervision, this role applies developing technical knowledge to complete maintenance assignments with increasing independence while ensuring all work is performed in accordance with approved maintenance data, company procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Essential Job Functions
• Perform troubleshooting and fault isolation of avionics and electrical system discrepancies with limited supervision.
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft communication, navigation, surveillance, entertainment, and electrical systems.
• Remove, install, repair, and replace avionics components, line replaceable units (LRUs), wiring, connectors, and associated system components.
• Perform operational, functional, and system tests to verify proper operation and airworthiness following maintenance activities.
• Utilize maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation to diagnose and resolve system discrepancies.
• Assist with the accomplishment of service bulletins, engineering authorizations, modifications, and aircraft upgrades in accordance with approved data.
• Apply approved maintenance practices and standard repair techniques to ensure safe and reliable aircraft operation.
• Properly document maintenance activities, discrepancies, corrective actions, and parts usage in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all assigned work is complete, accurate, and prepared for inspection and return-to-service requirements.
• Maintain quality workmanship standards while supporting first-time quality and minimizing rework.
• Coordinate with Lead Technicians, Supervisors, Quality Assurance personnel, and other maintenance departments to support efficient aircraft maintenance operations.
• Identify material, tooling, and support requirements necessary to maintain workflow and schedule commitments.
• Assist in troubleshooting recurring aircraft discrepancies and recommend corrective actions to improve system reliability.
• Support Aircraft-On-Ground (AOG) and priority maintenance events as required.
• Provide guidance and assistance to Avionics Maintenance Technician I personnel as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies, maintenance procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications ,

Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or GED required; technical school training in Avionics, Electronics, Aviation Maintenance, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 to 3 years of aircraft avionics maintenance experience, technical school training, military technical experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of aircraft electrical and avionics systems preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
