Ski's Truck & RV Sales is looking for a motivated Shop Foreman to oversee the daily operations of the service department, manage a team of RV technicians, assign repair/warranty work, ensure quality standards are met, and efficiently diagnose and repair RVs brought in for service, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Responsibilities:- Work Order Management: Receive and review customer work orders, assigning repairs/warranty work to technicians based on skill level and scheduling priorities.
- Technical Expertise: Diagnose RV issues, provide technical guidance to technicians, and stay updated on the latest RV repair procedures and technology.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of ongoing repairs to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to manufacturer standards.
- Parts Coordination: Collaborate with the parts department to ensure timely order and availability of necessary parts for repairs.
- Customer Service/Communication: Communicate repair updates to the owner and customers, address concerns, and help to maintain positive customer relationships.
- Shop Efficiency: Optimize workflow and scheduling to maximize productivity and minimize turnaround times.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety procedures within the shop and ensure technician follow proper safety protocols.
- Inventory Management: Monitor shop inventory of tools and equipment, identifying needs for replacements or upgrades.
Skills:
- Excellent attendance and work record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Requires a valid driver’s license.
- Extensive experience in an RV shop, maintenance repair, or a similar field is necessary.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, diagnostic abilities, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and technicians.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Please note that this job may require heavy lifting and/or the use of ladders and other tools/equipment at times.
