Position Summary
As part of the Facilities Management team and boarder Tech
24 network, t he Commercial Hot & Cold Technician is responsible for driving a company vehicle to customer locations to diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of commercial cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment. This role requires advanced troubleshooting skills, strong technical expertise, and the ability to work independently while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment (ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, warmers, etc.)
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair commercial refrigeration systems (walk-ins, reach-ins, prep tables, ice machines, etc.)
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure safe efficient equipment operations
- Accurately document service calls, parts used, labor hours, and customer interactions in company system
- Clearly communicate repair status, recommendations, and timelines to customers
- Manage truck inventory to ensure proper parts and tools are stocked
- Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner
- Represent the company with professionalism while delivering high-quality customer service
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies
- Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development opportunities
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- 3+ years of commercial hot-side and/or refrigeration service experience.
- EPA Universal Certification preferred
- Experience mentoring and supporting less experienced technicians.
