Position: Maintenance Technician (Electrician)
Location: Scottsburg

Conco, Inc. is expanding, and we're looking for an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team at our new manufacturing facility in Scottsburg, Indiana.

This is more than a traditional maintenance electrician position. You will have the opportunity to help build and bring a brand-new manufacturing facility online , installing electrical systems throughout the building and connecting, commissioning, and troubleshooting the equipment that will drive our production operation.

From running conduit and wiring electrical panels to powering production machinery and troubleshooting controls, your work will help establish the electrical infrastructure of the facility from the ground up.

What You'll Do

As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems throughout the facility.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Install, wire, terminate, test, and maintain electrical systems throughout the new manufacturing facility.
  • Install electrical infrastructure including conduit, cable tray, junction boxes, electrical panels, disconnects, wiring, and distribution equipment.
  • Run electrical power throughout the facility and connect power to production machinery and equipment.
  • Install, wire, and troubleshoot motors, motor starters, contractors, relays, sensors, switches, and other industrial electrical components.
  • Install and connect electrical systems for manufacturing equipment, including machinery, conveyors, pumps, compressors, and other production systems.
  • Assist with equipment startup, commissioning, and operational testing.
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical drawings.
  • Troubleshoot electrical equipment and systems to identify problems and make necessary repairs.
  • Use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment, including multimeters and clamp meters.
  • Troubleshoot motor controls, VFDs, sensors, control circuits, and other industrial electrical components.
  • Assist with PLC-related troubleshooting, including identifying problems with inputs, outputs, sensors, and control circuits.
  • Perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
  • Work with electrical contractors, equipment vendors, engineers, and other personnel during facility construction and equipment installation.
  • Document electrical installations, repairs, modifications, and equipment changes.
  • Follow applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, company policies, and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Identify and address electrical hazards to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts focused on equipment reliability, safety, and production efficiency.
  • General building maintenance and upkeep.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial electrical experience , preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industrial electrical systems, wiring, controls, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Ability to safely use electrical tools and testing equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also working effectively with a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Electrical apprenticeship or technical training in Industrial Electrical, Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
  • Associate degree or technical certificate in a related field.
  • Experience with new construction, facility electrical installation, or manufacturing facility startups .
  • Experience installing and commissioning manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with 480-volt three-phase electrical systems .
  • Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation.
  • Experience with VFDs, motor controls, sensors, relays, and control panels.
