Industrial Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift
Location:

Schedule:
2nd Shift | 4:30 PM – 2:30 AM
Pay: $22.00–$25.00 per hour

About the OpportunityFirst Call Direct Hire is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for a leading automotive manufacturer located in Edinburgh, Indiana. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and adjusting manufacturing machinery, dies, jigs, and equipment to support safe and efficient production.

Key Responsibilities- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems on assigned equipment.
- Perform corrective repairs and running adjustments to maintain quality and production.
- Test machinery and equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Use precision measuring and gauging tools.
- Perform plumbing-related maintenance as needed.
- Safely operate hand tools and powered tools.
- Perform welding duties as needed.
- Maintain 6S standards and a clean, organized work environment.
- Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to concentrate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering instructions.
- Strong attendance and reliability.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with Omron and Mitsubishi PLC controllers.
- Industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or automotive experience preferred.
Candidates should have one or more of the following:
- Completion of a formal maintenance apprenticeship program.
- Technical certificate or degree in industrial maintenance or a related field.
- Equivalent in-house industrial maintenance training and experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods.
- Ability to work extended hours when required.
