Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic
The Mobile Technician is responsible for repairing customer equipment off site in a timely and efficient manor to maximize uptime for the customer.
- Repair and maintain customer equipment using hand tools, precision measuring instrument, and machine tools
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and examine parts for defects and excessive wear
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical circuits utilizing computer-based software diagnostic programs and printed wiring schematics
- Recondition, repair and/or replace parts
- Perform routine maintenance checks including inspecting brake system, wheel bearing, electrical system, and air systems
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair engines/driveline/ABS related issues utilizing sound mechanical knowledge and computer based diagnostic programs
- Ability to set up and use common cutting, welding, and metal fabrication tooling and equipment as needed to complete repairs
- All other duties as assigned
- Technician experience, qualified to perform work on most or all of products in-scope for a technician at this dealer.
- Complex diagnosis and repair.
- Work with minimal to no supervision.
- Effective customer service skills, self-motivated, responsible with strong work ethic.
- Locally valid driver licenses.
- CDL preferred but not required.
- Must be a minimum 21 years of age
