As a Fleet Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our heavy-duty transportation assets. You will be responsible for executing complex repairs, conducting thorough preventative maintenance, and diagnosing mechanical issues to keep our fleet operating at peak performance.

As a Fleet Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our heavy-duty transportation assets. You will be responsible for executing complex repairs, conducting thorough preventative maintenance, and diagnosing mechanical issues to keep our fleet operating at peak performance.

Responsibilities
  • Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance and safety inspections to ensure full compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Perform complex mechanical and electrical repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers with minimal oversight.
  • Accurately document all service activities, parts usage, and labor hours within our digital work order system.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot engine, electrical, and hydraulic systems to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Perform minor bodywork and structural repairs to maintain fleet appearance and integrity.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment to support efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with team members to mentor junior technicians and share technical expertise.
Qualifications Required Skills
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in heavy-duty tractor/trailer maintenance.
  • Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and heavy equipment systems.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple repair tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy components exceeding 100 pounds.
Preferred Skills
  • Vocational certification or degree in Diesel Mechanics.
  • Active CDL or progress toward obtaining one.
  • Experience with DOT inspection protocols and compliance documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
