Join us as a Resource Specialist in our Children's Residential location. The role focuses on maintaining a safe environment and supporting direct care staff while building leadership skills.
Shifts- Day Shift (8:00 AM - 8:30 PM W/ rotating weekends)
- Starting pay: $16.50 + We pay for experience!

- Effectively respond to and manage crisis situations, taking the leadership role in de‑escalation and/or intervention when needed.
- Initiate special precautions for clients exhibiting high‑risk behavior criteria.
- Take appropriate action regarding events affecting residents’ mental and physical well‑being, including providing client and staff support, informal training, and crisis management.
- Understand behavior support plans for high‑acuity clients.
- Six months of full‑time experience working with behavioral challenges and/or individuals identifying with the DD/.
- Formal proof of required education.
- Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements.
- Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
- Clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions.
- Successful completion of a pre‑employment physical.
- Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening.
