Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: SW COMPLIANCE ENGINEER TO ALFDEX
Location: Indianapolis

Are you an experienced Software Compliance Engineer with a strong embedded and automotive mindset who wants to play a key role in bringing Alfdex’s next generation of electrical separators to market?

Alfdex is in the middle of a major technology shift – from mechanical and hydraulic solutions to fully electric, software-driven products. We are looking for a SW Compliance Engineer who wants to take ownership of how embedded software quality is assured across development, suppliers and projects. This is a key role in a company where quality, technology and collaboration truly matter.

WE

OFFER

At Alfdex, you will work with advanced separation technology in a growing international organization, where innovation, sustainability and teamwork are at the core of everything we do.

You will be part of a strong and well-established Quality organization, working closely with R&D, project management, testing and our global suppliers, in a phase where completely new electrical and software-driven products are being introduced. This role gives you real influence – you will shape how we work with ASPICE, Software APQP and PPAP for years to come, as our new electric product portfolio moves from early development through industrialization and into series production.

We offer a competitive compensation package, good benefits and a company culture characterized by openness, engagement and an entrepreneurial spirit.

YOU WILL

You will join Alfdex’s Quality organization in Landskrona and work in close collaboration with R&D, project teams, test engineers and our external software supplier. Your focus will be to ensure that embedded software is developed, verified and released according to ASPICE, APQP and customer requirements, in a phase where our new electrical products are moving into industrialization. Acting as the quality backbone across development, projects and suppliers, you will be a key contributor in building Alfdex’s software quality and ASPICE framework as our new product portfolio is introduced to the market.

Working in several projects in parallel, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Own and drive Software APQP and Software PPAP towards customers, ensuring that all required software quality deliverables are in place
  • Define, request and follow up ASPICE work products from internal teams and suppliers, ensuring that development follows agreed processes and standards
  • Plan and perform internal and second-party software and ASPICE audits and reviews, and drive continuous improvement of Alfdex’s software and quality processes
  • Support projects with software quality governance, including requirements, releases, configuration and risk analyses such as HARA and TARA, acting as the main interface between R&D, test, project management and the software supplier
YOU ARE

We are looking for a structured, driven and communicative quality professional who enjoys working close to both technology and people. The right person is comfortable following up, challenging and ensuring that things actually get done, even when many stakeholders are involved. Working independently and in a structured way comes naturally, while collaboration and a solution-oriented mindset are equally important in an environment where things are being built, improved and sometimes created from scratch.

The role requires a university degree in engineering or equivalent, together with solid experience of Software APQP and PPAP in automotive or other safety- and quality-critical embedded systems environments. A strong understanding of ASPICE and how it is applied in real development projects is essential, as is experience of working with external suppliers and distributed development setups.

A good understanding of embedded software in physical products and the ability to take a coordinating role across functions, supported by strong communication skills, are key to succeeding in the role. Fluency in English is required, while Swedish is a strong advantage. Experience or interest in electric motors, vehicles, industrial products or cyber security is considered a plus.
