This position is located in the Indianapolis office of Indiana Legal Services.
This is a full-time system developer position (37.5 hours per week). ILS adopted Microsoft cloud (BPOS) in February 2011. The candidate will work closely with the IT Director to oversee the development, implementation, applications, and programs (cloud) for the backend processing systems used. The ideal candidate will be able to function effectively with limited oversight and moderate on-site/remote training. The system developer may be expected to work before or after normal working hours to troubleshoot and address technology problems and to implement any upgrades and modifications to the system.
Responsibilities- Perform tasks as directed by the IT Director.
- Design, build and support high performance cloud applications.
- Experience with virtualization and/or cloud technologies (Azure).
- Support internal and client IT teams on items related to back-end development, server/database issues, etc.
- Develop back-end APIs and provide documentation.
- Maintain system patch deployment schedules to efficiently execute mass patch deployments.
- Keep team members and manager informed of the current state of efforts and risks.
- Support ILS’s overall mission and comply with grant agreements and ILS policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent education and experience.
- 2 years experience in SQL and 3 years of Applications support
- Knowledge of Azure Defender and Office 365 Defender
- Shell scripting experience
- Knowledge of working with Windows Server, VM, Azure Active Directory.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently.
The starting salary for the system developer position is $47,428, with a range up to a maximum salary of $63,318, depending on experience.
