OVERVIEWA leading financial services organization in Indianapolis is seeking a Salesforce Developer to join a growing, high-impact technology team. This role supports ongoing platform modernization efforts and the delivery of scalable Salesforce solutions that enable business growth and enhance customer experiences.
You will work within an Agile Scrum team to design, develop, and maintain an enterprise Salesforce ecosystem, including Service Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Chat, along with multiple integrated systems. Leveraging strong technical expertise, you will help align Salesforce capabilities with evolving business needs by delivering high-quality, maintainable solutions that drive efficiency, innovation, and long-term value.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional business and technical stakeholders, contribute to release planning within a structured delivery framework, and support continuous improvement across the Salesforce platform. You will report to a senior Salesforce technology leader and operate as part of a collaborative, agile delivery environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Build and optimize Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Components (Aura & LWC), Visualforce, Lightning Pages, and declarative tools such as Flow and Custom Metadata.
- Integrate third-party applications such as Amazon Connect and Live Vox as needed.
- Perform unit and system testing, contribute to technical documentation, and ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues quickly to minimize impact on users.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint ceremonies as part of an agile Scrum team.
- Stay current with Salesforce releases, design patterns, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance platform performance and functionality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent work experience.
- Proven expertise across Salesforce Sales, Service, and Experience Clouds, including large-scale implementations.
- Strong background in software development and object-oriented programming (OOP).
- Skilled in building and maintaining Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (Aura & LWC), and declarative tools such as Flow.
- Solid understanding of HTML, REST/SOAP web services, and integration patterns.
- Experience using VS Code, Intelli
J, and version control systems such as Git or SVN. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and collaborative development environments.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, SQL, and relational databases.
- Salesforce Certifications such as Platform Developer I & II, Application Architect, or System Architect are highly desirable.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing tools like JEST or Robot Framework.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Data Loader, Salesforce CLI (SFDX), and CI/CD tools.
- Knowledge of Python and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Experience working with CMS platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager.
- Experience with AWS or .NET technologies.
- Background in C#, Java, or other OOP languages.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Service Cloud Voice or similar cloud telephony integrations.
