• Support leadership, development, test, and other tasks throughout the software life cycle for aircraft embedded software applications.
• Interface with avionics systems (displays, navigation, mission planning) and work with Systems Engineers to design solutions aligned with end-user and operational needs.
• Participate in all aspects of a software development life cycle as part of a multi-disciplined team.
• Support new and legacy military and commercial programs from concept and requirements through design, development, integration, test, and potential maintenance tasks.
• Provide technical leadership through mentorship, reviews, and contributions to proposals, design, and process improvements.

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• Experience in software requirements, design, development, integration, and test.
• Experience developing and testing software using C, C++, C#, Ada or closely related languages.
• Experience developing software in a Windows environment.
• Experience in computer scripting languages such as Shell/Perl/Python.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.

• Master’s degree (MS) in a STEM discipline preferred.
• Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as Linux, Green Hills INTEGRITY, VxWorks, or similar.
• Familiarity with DO-178C/DO-330/DO-331 processes and ARINC 653/ARINC 661 standards.
• Experience in Unix/Linux environments and software libraries/tools (DDS, ZeroMQ/NetMQ, OpenGL, VAPS XT).
• Experience with embedded avionics, MIL-STD-1553B, and hardware interfaces (TCP/IP, UDP, RS-422, USB, PCI, 1553).
• Software configuration management tools (Git) and Agile development environments (Azure Dev Ops or equivalent).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to lead within a multi-discipline team.

• The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD. Offers depend on experience, location, and qualifications.
