What You Will Do
- Use and provide creative solutions to complex technical system and software integration problems.
- Work closely with other software engineers and systems engineers to design ideal solutions with the end user and operational needs in mind.
- Support new and legacy military and commercial programs from concept and requirements, to design, development, integration, test and potentially subsequent maintenance tasking.
- Provide technical leadership through mentorship, providing technical assistance to others, participation in reviews and proposals, and design and process improvement.
- Degree in a STEM subject and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in software requirements, design, development, integration and test.
- Experience developing and testing software using C, C++, C#, Java or closely related languages.
- Experience developing software in a Windows environment.
- Experience developing software in a Linux environment.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Perl or Python.
- Experience in software systems design, integration and management.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance prior to the start date; U.S. citizenship is required.
- Understanding of Operating Systems.
- Experience using Dev Ops tools such as Git, Gitlab, Docker or Podman.
- Experience with software optimization techniques and timing analysis for real‑time operation.
- Knowledge of software drivers for hardware interfaces.
- Knowledge of common hardware interfaces and data protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, RS‑422, USB, PCI.
- Experience with debugging tools and ensuring software integrity.
- Experience developing software product requirements.
- Understanding of computer architecture and optimization techniques.
- Experience with Software Configuration Management principles, environments and tools.
- Experience in an Agile development environment using Jira, Azure Dev Ops or equivalent.
- Knowledge of parallel programming principles.
