This internship will be located in the Indianapolis, IN office. Software Engineering Interns at First Databank will have the opportunity to gain experience and demonstrate aptitude across a variety of real world projects. Interns typically rotate between three or more projects during their time at FDB, where each project requires skill in a different area.
Responsibilities- Web Development
- Mobile Development
- Server Side Web API development
- SDK development
- Desktop Application Development
- Cloud Infrastructure Automation, AWS and Azure
- Database Development, both RDMS and No
SQL - Data Science / Business Intelligence
- Trouble Shooting / Bug Fixes / Unit Testing
- AI tooling development
- Design and deploy AI agents and AI‑assisted workflows within production and internal systems
- Computer Science or Software Engineer Major
- Completion of Junior year
- Minimum GPA – 3.4
- At least some experience with AI coding agents

Compensation& Benefits
In accordance with applicable law, Hearst is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in Indianapolis, IN. The reasonable estimate, $20 - $22 hourly. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending savings account; paid holidays; paid time off;
