Software Test Engineer

Location:

Indianapolis, Indiana (on-site). Reports to Lead Software Test Engineer within the R&D Software team.

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Contribute to and enhance automated test scripts and test frameworks to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, hardware engineers, and product managers to understand requirements and clarify expected behaviors, ensuring high quality releases.
• Investigate, document, and communicate defects, working with engineering to drive timely resolution and prevent recurrence.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including refining test processes, improving tooling, and identifying opportunities to elevate product quality.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in software testing, including manual and automated testing practices.
• Experience designing and executing test cases, documenting defects, and validating fixes across the software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks such as pytest, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with software engineers and product owners.
