Position
Software Engineer, Battle Management Software Department (Onsite).
Location:
Indianapolis, IN, United States. Minimum 8 years of experience. U.S. citizenship required to obtain an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities- Use and provide creative solutions to complex technical system and software integration problems.
- Work closely with software and systems engineers to design solutions that meet end‑user and operational needs.
- Support all phases of the software development life cycle—including requirements, design, development, integration, test, and maintenance—for new and legacy military and commercial programs.
- Provide technical leadership through mentorship, subject‑matter expertise, team leadership, and participation in proposals, design reviews, and process improvements.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM). Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in software requirements, design, development, integration, and test.
- Experience developing software in a Windows environment.
- Experience developing and testing software using C, C++, C#, Java or closely related languages.
- Experience with software systems design, integration, and management.
- Experience with creational, structural, and behavioral design patterns and their principles.
- Experience utilizing debugging tools to troubleshoot software implementation and ensure product integrity.
- Experience with Software Configuration Management (SCM) principles and tools such as GIT.
- U.S. citizenship required to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Master’s (MS) degree in a STEM discipline.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, or Python.
- Experience in Unix/Linux computing environments.
- Experience developing requirements for software products.
- Experience with CASE tools (e.g., Magic Draw, Cameo) or similar UML/SysML modeling tools.
- Experience with automated software test tools.
- Experience developing WPF applications and using UI architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVC, or MVP.
- Familiarity with VB6, VBA, or
- Experience in an Agile development environment using Azure Dev Ops or equivalent.
- Familiarity with DO‑178C software development life cycle processes.
- Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Salary range: $107,500 - $204,500 USD.
