As the Senior Software Engineer, you may broaden Google’s software platform. Our group is answerable for developing frameworks and offerings to supply an optimized experience for device platforms. You will manipulate mission priorities, deadlines, deliverables, design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and beautify software solutions.
The base earnings range for this full‑time position is $157,000-$235,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Pay is determined by role, stage, and region. The values displayed reflect the minimum and most target for brand-new hire salaries across U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by location and other factors, including process‑related skills, experience, and applicable training or education.
Responsibilities- Write and test product or device improvement code to optimize the battery life of devices.
- Participate in or lead architectural reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide on available options for optimizing power consumption.
- Review Android frameworks and services code contributed by other engineers, and provide feedback to ensure high‑quality practices.
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content primarily based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or device issues, debug, and resolve by analyzing issue sources and impact on hardware, community, or service operations and satisfaction.
