Principal Controls Specialist – Modeling and Simulation Full-time | Indianapolis, IN or West Lafayette, IN (Hybrid: 3 days onsite)

• Planning, designing and developing software solutions for real‑time simulation test platforms.
• Integrating, testing and troubleshooting software/hardware interfaces and software/software designs.
• Managing and improving the automated build and execution tool and process used for running batched test programs on the simulation environment.
• Mentoring engineers to enhance technical capability and project performance.
• Leading a team of simulation engineers, coordinating technical tasks, commitments, deliveries and communications with the engineering program.
• Presenting technical data to senior engineers, management, and customers.

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of software simulation experience
• OR Master’s degree with 3+ years of software simulation engineering (development or testing)
• OR JD/PhD
• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain/maintain a US DOD Secret clearance.

• Modeling, simulation and control system experience
• Strong understanding of software configuration management and architecture
• Knowledge of electronics (sensors, actuators, processors)
• Strong software development skills in C/C++, Python, CMake, Bash, Simulink
• Experience with continuous integration/automation (e.g., Jenkins)
• UNIX shell, hardware troubleshooting experience
