Requirements Must have

  • We look for about 4+ years of professional software development experience.
  • We expect experience building and supporting production web applications or SaaS products.
  • We require hands-on experience with Python and a modern web framework, ideally Django.
  • We want experience developing React applications with Type Script.
  • We need experience designing, implementing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • We require experience with PostgreSQL or another relational database system.
  • We look for experience deploying, operating, or supporting cloud-hosted applications, preferably in AWS.
  • We require experience with Docker and containerized development workflows.
  • We expect experience using Git and collaborative development practices, including pull requests and code reviews.
  • We require experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
  • We need strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • We expect clear communication around technical tradeoffs, implementation approaches, and risks.
  • We require the ability to work effectively in a collaborative hybrid environment.
Preferred
  • Preferred: experience designing, building, or running a multi‑tenant SaaS platform.
  • Preferred: experience with tenant isolation, role‑based access control, authorization models, or customer‑specific configuration.
  • Preferred: experience supporting a transition from internally hosted or customer‑specific software to a scalable SaaS product.
  • Preferred: experience implementing authentication and identity integrations using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, Amazon Cognito, Auth0, Microsoft Entra , or similar tools.
  • Preferred: experience with AWS services and cloud‑native application architecture.
  • Preferred: experience implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability for production applications.
  • Preferred: experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation.
  • Preferred: experience with Git Hub Actions or similar CI/CD tooling.
  • Preferred: experience with data‑intensive applications, analytics platforms, scientific software, engineering software, or enterprise data‑management systems.
  • Preferred: experience with Microsoft Azure is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • We design, develop, test, and maintain full‑stack web applications using Python, Django, React, and Type Script.
  • We build capabilities for a secure, scalable, multi‑tenant SaaS platform serving engineering and scientific organizations.
  • We help design and implement tenant‑aware patterns, including data isolation, authorization, configuration, and operational controls.
  • We design, document, and maintain secure REST APIs and backend services.
  • We collaborate on cloud architecture, deployment strategies, and engineering practices that support long‑term product growth.
  • We improve application performance, scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
  • We build and enhance automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and developer workflows.
  • We help implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability practices for production systems.
  • We troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and drive lasting improvements.
  • We participate in sprint planning, estimation, code reviews, technical design discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
  • We work closely with product, QA, UX, and engineering teammates to deliver strong customer outcomes.
  • We share SaaS engineering practices, technical knowledge, and constructive feedback with teammates.
