Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Engineer II to build high-quality mobile applications that power the future of automotive retail and mobility. In this role, you'll design, develop, and maintain native iOS and/or Android apps used by dealers and consumers across our leading brands, such as Autotrader and Kelley Blue Book. You will collaborate closely with product, UX, and backend teams to deliver performant, secure, and scalable mobile experiences.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain mobile applications for Cox Automotive brands on i
- OS and/or Android platforms
- Implement clean, testable, and scalable code using modern mobile frameworks and patterns
- Integrate apps with cloud services, APIs, and internal platforms across the Cox ecosystem
- Collaborate with product, UX, and backend teams to define requirements and deliver features
- Monitor app performance, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize for speed and reliability
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and UI tests to ensure quality and stability
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical design, and uphold engineering standards
- Support deployment pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and app store releases
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team
- Stay current on mobile technologies to drive innovation in automotive retail experiences
Required Skills
- Native Android development (Kotlin/Java) and/or i
- OS development (Swift/Objective-C)
- Mobile UI frameworks and design patterns (MVVM/MVC), responsive layouts
- RESTful API integration and JSON handling
- Mobile app architecture, dependency injection, and modularization
- Version control with Git and collaborative branching workflows
- Unit, integration, and UI testing tools (e.g., JUnit, XCTest, Espresso)
- CI/CD for mobile (e.g., Jenkins, Git
- Hub Actions, Bitrise, Fastlane)
- Performance optimization, profiling, and debugging tools
- Experience with push notifications, app security, and authentication (OAuth, JWT)
- Familiarity with cloud services and backend integration (e.g., AWS, Firebase)
