Head Girls Varsity Tennis Coach - High School

Churubusco Jr-Sr High School is seeking a knowledgeable and student-centered Head Girls Tennis Coach to lead and develop our high school girls tennis program. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to promoting academic success, athletic growth, sportsmanship, and character development among student-athletes.

• Previous, successful basketball coaching experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basketball fundamentals and player development.
• Ability to build positive relationships with student-athletes and families.
• Ability to meet all district and state coaching certification requirements.

• Teaching license and/or employment within the district.
• Experience developing youth or feeder basketball programs.
• Background in strength and conditioning principles

• Provide overall leadership for the girls tennis program, including collaboration with junior high and youth coaches to ensure program continuity.
• Plan and conduct organized, purposeful practices that emphasize skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship and oversee off-season and summer training.

• Promote academic accountability and monitor student-athlete eligibility.
• Foster leadership, character, resilience, and teamwork among players.
• Create a positive, inclusive team culture that supports all participants.

• Develop game strategies and manage in-game decision-making.
• Coordinate practice schedules and competition logistics with the Athletic Director.
• Maintain inventory and care of equipment and uniforms

• Communicate effectively with players, parents, school administration, and staff.
• Represent the school in a professional manner and promote the program within the school and community.
• Support multi-sport participation and collaborate with other coaches.
