Log Hauler Truck Driver

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid and current Commercial Driver’s License.
• Minimum 12th grade basic education completed.
• Minimum 1 year of experience driving a commercial vehicle up to 26,000 lbs.
• Must not have any DOT recordable accidents in the past three years.
• Must be able to pass a physical examination (DOT required). Position includes lifting (50-75 lbs), pushing/pulling, twisting, standing, walking, bending at the waist, and handling of material.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Drive local routes that have you home after every shift.
• Operate commercial vehicles up to 80,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight.
• Complete required driving log on highly developed ELD system.
• Complete pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections on all equipment.
• Secure loads and/or inspect loads to ensure proper securement.
• Perform duties consistent with all applicable safety, DOT, and Company rules and regulations.
• Maintain appropriate driving records, logs, and shipping documents as required.
• Verify shipping documents for accuracy and obtain customer’s signature on paperwork upon delivery.
• Complete training as required by management.
• Hauling logs.
