We are seeking reliable, safety-minded, and positive School Bus Drivers to join our transportation team! In this role, you will be the first and last face our students see each school day. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of students to and from school, field trips, and extracurricular events.

Key Responsibilities
* Safe Transportation:
Safely operate a school bus over designated routes, adhering strictly to all traffic laws, school district policies, and state/federal regulations.
* Student Management:
Maintain a safe, orderly, and positive environment on the bus. Manage student behavior firmly and fairly, reporting any significant disciplinary issues to school administration.
* Inspections & Maintenance:
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip bus inspections daily (checking brakes, lights, tires, fluids, etc.) and report any mechanical defects immediately.
* Cleanliness:
Keep the interior of the bus clean, swept, and free of debris.
* Emergency Preparedness:
Follow established procedures in the event of an accident, medical emergency, or severe weather. Conduct mandatory student bus evacuation drills as required.
* Communication:
Maintain clear communication with the transportation dispatcher, school staff, and parents regarding route delays or schedule changes.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Must be 21 years old
* Licensing:
Must possess (or be willing to obtain) a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
* Clean Driving Record: A safe driving history with no recent serious traffic violations or DUI/DWI convictions.
* Background Checks:
Must successfully pass a criminal background check, fingerprinting, and a Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and drug screen.
* Skills:
Strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine care for the well-being and safety of children.
Contracts will be for 186 paid days consisting of 178-180 student days (dependant on Flex Days), 1 summer safety day, 1 driver "Back to School" meeting, and 6 holidays. Drivers salaries are based on mileage scale for specific operating classes (Class C, D, A, etc). Additional contracts available for driving After School Shuttles, Extra-Curricular driving, Field Trips and other events.
