Job Summary

  • Operate tanker trailers hauling chemical and petroleum products while adhering to DOT regulations.
  • Maintain your vehicle to meet inspection standards and keep it in top condition for long‑haul success.
  • Follow proper loading and unloading procedures for ISO/Flexi‑Bag or tanker operations.
  • Maintain accurate logs, submit paperwork, and comply with Hazmat regulations.
  • Represent Altom Transport professionally at all customer locations.
  • Manage fuel purchases, trip planning, and scheduling to maximize revenue.
  • Meet mileage or hour requirements to maintain a steady workload.
  • Be available 24/7 when needed to support 24/7 operation.

Requirements

  • Late‑model equipment that meets Altom’s inspection standards.
  • Valid CDL Class A license.
  • Tanker endorsement (N) – required.
  • Hazmat endorsement (H) – preferred (must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
  • TWIC card – preferred or to be obtained after hire.
  • Minimum one year of verifiable tanker driving experience.
  • At least 23 years of age.
  • Clean MVR and strong safety record.
  • Pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check.
  • Dependable, safety‑minded, and able to work independently.
  • Willing to work flexible schedules, including 24/7 operations if needed.
