Job Description Key Responsibilities
- Monitor transportation activity to ensure on-time pickup and delivery performance for customer shipments.
- Track shipments and proactively communicate shipment status updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure timely receipt and processing of carrier documentation, invoices, and related transportation records.
- Identify transportation service issues and recommend corrective actions to management to improve carrier performance and customer satisfaction.
- Provide cross-functional support through collaboration and cross-training with other Logistics Specialists to ensure continuous customer coverage and service.
- Fast-paced transportation and logistics environment.
- Frequent interaction with customers, carriers, and internal operations teams via phone, email, and transportation management systems.
- Primarily office-based work requiring extended periods of computer use.
- Team-oriented environment with a focus on customer service and operational excellence.
- Schedule to be determined based on business and customer requirements.
- May require flexibility to support customer operations during peak periods or coverage needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of related logistics, transportation, supply chain, or customer service experience.
- Experience working in a transportation or logistics environment preferred.
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong computer and data-entry skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Team-oriented and collaborative.
- Strong customer service mindset.
- Eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
- Adaptable and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
- $45k-50k
- Accrue up to five days PTO in first year. Two-weeks vacation, plus one week PTO accrue on first anniversary.
