Job OverviewCDL Driver is responsible for transporting materials/freight/equipment to OEG sites, typically within 100 miles of the Indianapolis area but occasionally longer hauls. Responsibilities include operating various commercial vehicles, including operation of tractor trailers, performing mandatory DOT inspections, and managing local pick-ups and deliveries or parts and materials. This may include assisting in maintaining fleet, moving vehicles and equipment as necessary on the OEG property.

Responsibilities Safe Vehicle Operation:
Drive commercial trucks safely through local traffic, varying weather conditions, and tight work zones while strictly obeying all DOT regulations and traffic laws.

Inspections (Pre/Post-Trip):
Conduct comprehensive visual and mechanical inspections before and after shifts to ensure the vehicle meets all safety standards.

Loading & Unloading (Touch Freight):
Load, secure, and unload cargo using material handling equipment like pallet jacks or hand trucks.

Documentation:
Maintain accurate, up-to-date driving logs, mileage reports, and delivery manifests using electronic logging devices (ELDs).Customer Service:
Interact directly with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and customers at delivery sites, verifying shipments and obtaining delivery signatures.

Job Requirements 3+ year driving experience preferred

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid CDL license required

Endorsements for hazmat is desired

Strong work ethic and physical ability to lift 60+ pounds
