Job Overview
A Freight Conductor coordinates train crews, places rail cars for loading and unloading, and handles make‑up and breakdown operations in rail yards or customer facilities.
Responsibilities- Safely coordinate train crews on freight trains.
- Place rail cars to facilitate loading and unloading.
- Perform make‑up and breakdown of trains in road yards or customer facilities.
- Retention bonuses: $3,000 after the first year and $2,000 after the second year (may vary by location).
- Must pass a hair follicle and urine drug test, medical exam, and background check.
- Must live within or be willing to relocate within 50 miles of the posted location; relocation assistance is not offered.
Depending on business need, the candidate may be placed in a hiring pipeline.
