The Fleet Services Supervisor oversees operation and staff engaged in the servicing and distribution of vehicles and other equipment. The incumbent will provide direction and technical assistance, including diagnosing problems and troubleshooting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. - Provides direction and leadership for all vehicle and equipment fueling, charging, and cleaning services; manages an efficient workflow and verifies units have been properly serviced to maintain safe and efficient operation of the service lines.
- Supervises the bus bill out/distribution processes and Motor Pool process.
- Ensures that fueling and cleaning of rolling stock and equipment are accomplished in a timely and thorough manner.
- Enforces departmental policies, and Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) including policies related to work schedules and assigning personnel to effectively carry out required work.
- Completes relevant paperwork and reports timely and accurately; this includes ensuring that all service actions and bus assignments (bus cleaning, fueling, charging, and garage assignments and special assignments, etc.) are properly documented on paper and/or in the appropriate computer system(s).
