Truck Driver

Piazza Produce , A Fresh Edge LLC company , is hiring Drivers Home Daily Box Truck Reefer Drivers in Indianapolis, IN. Piazza Produce offers a wide array of produce, locally sourced goods, specialty items, and more. Piazza Produce delivers to over 150 surrounding cities includi ng Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, Tennessee, and Michigan. This allows us a large distribution network in which we can backhaul and deliver pr oducts from producers who need help distributing their products.

Our fleet has grown to include trucks equipped with refrigeration and GPS tracking devices, making us a gre at option for dry or perish able l oads.

• Average annual earnings: $52,000 - $56,875
• Base Rate: $16.00/hr. for non-CDL drivers and $17.50/hr. for CDL drivers, with higher rates based on experience.

• Overtime is paid after 40 hours worked

  Incentives:
• Sign-on Bonus: $3,000 NET with payments of $1,000 at 30 days , 60 days and 90 days
• Loyalty Bonus – weekly bonus $130.
• Safety Bonus:
  Eligible after 90 days

• Home Time:Home daily with one possible overnight layover a week
• If an overnight layover were to occur, you would never be out more than one night at a time and drivers would be placed at a hotel
• Work every Saturday and off every Sunday and one other day off during the week
• Shift: Typically , 8-12 hour shifts with start times varying typically between 3 :00 am – 6 :00 am (until work is done)
• Route:Deliver to over 150 cities around IN,OH, IL, TN and MI
• Routes can be 15-25 stops per day
• Deliver 300+ cases per day (up/ down stairs at some locations)
• Level of Touch:
  Touch Freight, load & unload
• Must be able to lift, push, pull 50lbs with no assistance
• Be able to use pallet Jacks, 2-wheel dolly & phone scanner

• Most trucks are automatic with a few manual in the fleet

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• For hire Endorsement, CDL drivers are encouraged to apply
• 1 year of commercial driving experience is preferred but not required
• 0 DUI/DWI are allowed
• Must have no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years and proven safe PSP Score
• Must have no more than 3 preventable accidents in the past 3 years
• Must meet Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
• Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen
• Must be able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions: hot, cold, dust, indoors and outdoors
• Drivers must live within a 40-mile radius of Indianapolis, IN or be willing to relocate for position
