The Warehouse Associate supports daily warehouse operations including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, kitting/unkitting projects, and general warehouse organization. This role ensures accuracy, timeliness, and quality across all warehouse workflows while supporting internal teams, clients, and vendor partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Receiving and Inbound Logistics- Receive incoming shipments, verify item counts, inspect for accuracy/damage, and report discrepancies
- Check shipments against POs, packing slips, and internal systems (e.g., Smart Books)
- Communicate with vendors, carriers (including Fed Ex Freight/Ground), and internal team members regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Store materials in designated warehouse locations while maintaining proper organization and labeling
- Perform cycle counts and reconcile quantities between physical inventory and system records
- Support Customer-Owned Inventory (COI) updates, adjustments, and zero‑outs when required
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders according to project requirements
- Inspect items before shipment and flag missing or damaged materials
- Create shipping labels and coordinate shipping methods including Fed Ex Ground/Express, Freight, and blind shipments
- Stage pallets, manage multi‑box shipments, and ensure accuracy in outbound orders
- Coordinate multiple shipments with strict delivery dates for events
- Assemble kits or promotional packages per client specifications, including inserting collateral or handwritten cards
- Break down (“unkit”) previously assembled kits when required and track related labor
- Follow item master instructions for product components when preparing orders
- Work with Operations, Sales Support, Account Management, and IT teams on warehouse‑related tasks
- Support internal teams regarding POs, shipping questions, and fulfillment project updates
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
- Follow all safety protocols and report any issues or hazards
- Assist with the implementation of new warehouse routines, workflows, and system improvements
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous warehouse or fulfillment experience preferred
- Ability to lift and move materials (generally 20–50 lbs)
- Handle time-sensitive shipments calmly and accurately
- Familiarity with inventory or order management systems
- Ability to follow written instructions and standard operating procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities
- Warehouse-based role with frequent standing, lifting, and movement
- Requires use of equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks, carts, and packing tools
