Location: Sheridan
Position Summary
The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee warehouse operations, including product shipping, receiving, inventory transactions, and maintaining an organized, company‑managed warehouse.
Operating HoursMonday – Friday: 7 AM to 4:00 PM, hours may vary depending on business needs.
Primary Responsibilities Inventory Management- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing products, including batch numbers, expiration dates, and quantities.
- Update inventory systems in real‑time to ensure accurate stock levels and efficient order fulfillment.
- Perform routine inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Efficiently stage loads for Feed Delivery Drivers to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
- Process customer orders promptly, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and shipping.
- Prepare shipping labels, documentation, and packing lists for outgoing orders.
- Conduct thorough quality checks on incoming and outgoing products to meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and report damaged or substandard products, initiating corrective actions as necessary.
- Optimize storage layouts to maximize space utilization and facilitate easy access.
- Maintain an organized and efficient warehouse layout to minimize handling time and enhance safety.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including PPE requirements, to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, promoting proper storage practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Work closely with procurement, production, and transportation teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Provide regular inventory updates and communicate potential issues to team members and supervisors.
- Assist with production and the bagging line when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Primarily in a non‑temperature‑controlled warehouse setting; must adapt to varying conditions and temperatures.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent professional experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in warehouse or logistics roles, preferably within animal nutrition, agriculture, or related industries.
- Understanding of warehouse management principles.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent record‑keeping and quality control skills.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, supervisors, and external partners.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage high‑volume tasks efficiently.
- Team‑oriented mindset, valuing collaboration for overall success.
- Forklift operation certification.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 60 pounds as required.
- Strict adherence to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Use of protective equipment, including dust masks, rubber gloves, and breathing apparatus as needed.
- Mandatory use of eye and ear protection.
- Compliance with company‑provided safety boot requirements.
- Experience with software programs such as Microsoft Office and Bestmix ERP Suite.
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
