Job Summary
This position assists in the offloading, receiving, shipping, storage, and distribution of products in a warehouse environment. Daily tasks involve barcode scan applications that record movement, receipt, and status changes to inventory. Timely and efficient completion of duties and safe operation of industrial power equipment, such as a forklift and cherry picker, are critical.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, transport, and stock inbound products from manufacturing facilities and suppliers, including physical lifting and handling by powered and manual equipment.
- Accurately place and stack stock in designated areas, recording location into the perpetual inventory system.
- Fulfill orders by locating, transporting, offloading, and scanning outbound products for distribution.
- Match serialized products to orders and manage item location in the proprietary system through secure IT network procedures.
- Use both manual and industrial powered equipment for order fulfillment tasks.
- Perform inventory cycle counts daily, weekly, or monthly to meet compliance requirements.
- Operate heavy industrial power equipment while working at heights requiring fall protection.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized warehouse and comply with all safety regulations.
Performance of these tasks is essential to the daily operation of the Z‑Dock. Timely outbound execution meets commitments to customers, dealer partners, and shareholders. Precise receipt and stocking of inbound product affects inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and delivery scheduling.
Minimum Requirements- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience with 1–2 years in delivery, warehousing, receiving, issuing, packing, shipping, or storage of goods.
- Forklift certification required; experience with a cherry picker is a plus.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining inventory logs and databases.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to move heavy items (up to 350 lbs.) for several hours consecutively.
- Basic knowledge of inventory procedures.
- Thorough understanding of proper methods for safe receiving, storing, requisitions, shipping, and delivery.
- Understanding of internal controls for receiving product against purchase orders and packing slips, and actions to reconcile.
- Experience with furniture delivery and repair.
Nearly continuous standing, balance, overhead reach, pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Frequent repetitive hand motion, walking, bending, stooping, listening, talking, climbing stairs and ladders, crawling, and operating industry equipment.
