Warehouse Lead

Job Summary

This role is in support of Cencora’s distribution services in the US operating through our Amerisource Bergen business. Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 4:30pm. Pay: $22.35/hr.

• Spend much of the time training warehouse associates in duties and responsibilities and all associates in the safe use of equipment according to SOPs.
• Observe performance to correct behaviors as necessary.
• Use a radio frequency (RF) device to perform daily tasks, as required.
• Assist warehouse personnel with the efficient execution of order filling, receiving, stocking, and returns.
• May oversee shipping and general operations (UPS, emergency orders, or general deliveries).
• Continue to perform as an individual contributor completing advanced tasks and decision making with detailed knowledge of the position and procedures.
• Provide day-to-day tactical direction and guidance to warehouse associates.
• Responsible for daily workloads and coordinate and recommend efficiencies to workflow.
• Manage inventory, including monitoring levels.
• Use forklifts, reach trucks, and/or other motorized equipment to move inventory.
• Assist in supervision of the department, including assignment of work and manpower needs to cover associate vacations and building volume.
• Participate in associate concerns such as reporting and follow up to supervisor.
• Utilize computer system applications for proper operation and reports.
• Comply with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules, and state and DEA regulations.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred:
  Warehouse or Distribution experience (1 year or less).

• Ability to read and understand English language product descriptions, names, and shelf labels.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
• Strong organizational skills; detail oriented.
• Understanding of DC workflow and ability to work with minimal guidance.
• Maintains a clean work area to help ensure merchandise remains clean and to help prevent work‑related injuries.
• Ability to use good judgment to carry out detailed instructions.
• Basic computer knowledge preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime when necessary and participate in physical inventory.
• Team player with effective communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency to operate reach truck, picker machines, pallet jack, forklift, etc.
• Maintains appropriate attendance and production standards.
