Material Handler
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Material Handler to support warehouse and distribution operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and adhering to all safety and quality standards.
Shift: 1st
Hours: 6:30 am - 3:15 pm
Pay: $25.26/hour
Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED required
- 5–7 years of experience in a distribution or warehouse environment
- Experience working with electronic Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as SAP, Exacta, and RF scanners
- 3–5 years of experience operating a variety of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), including:
- Swing Reach Truck
- Stand-Up Forklift
- Cherry Picker
- Rider Pallet Jack
- Sit-Down Forklift
- Ability to operate two or more types of PIT equipment
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated accuracy
- Flexibility and willingness to cross-train in multiple warehouse functions
- Ability to work overtime with little or no advance notice
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Basic computer skills with the ability to learn additional systems and software
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to work in a temperature-controlled/chilled environment (36°F–46°F)
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds
- Support order processing activities including picking, packing, and shipping
- Receive and put away finished products and raw materials
- Unload trucks, verify received quantities, and enter receipts into the Warehouse Management System
- Pick and pack customer orders using computerized warehouse systems
- Perform inventory-related tasks such as cycle counting and material disposition
- Follow all applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, including OSHA, FDA, and other applicable regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ensure consistent attendance and punctuality for all scheduled shifts
