Job Description

Green Rabbit is a leading e-commerce grocery distributor specializing in cold chain solutions delivered directly to your door. We are currently seeking an overnight warehouse supervisor to support our growing operations at our facility in Whitestown, Indiana. Green Rabbit is part of VISTAR, a subsidiary of Performance Food Group Company.

Position Purpose

The person who fills this role will manage the hourly warehouse team that performs daily receiving, shipping, and order‑fulfillment operations, ensuring staff work safely and efficiently to meet customer needs and company standards. This is a hands‑on management position that will be led by example and delegated to the team in a fast‑paced environment. We are looking for a candidate with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Solving problems before they happen and practicing a “find a way” mentality to ensure 100% completion of customer orders.

Schedule

Overnights – Sunday – Wednesday 7:30 pm – 6:30 am

Schedule subject to change based on business needs. Must be available to work weekends/holidays at times.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Oversee overnight shift warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, and order fulfillment.
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse associates by providing training, guidance, performance feedback, and clear job expectations.
  • Ensure customer orders are picked, loaded, and shipped accurately, on time, and in the proper delivery sequence.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, and safety performance while promoting compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems and operational technology to maximize efficiency and recommend process improvements.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure proper receiving, stocking, and FEFO inventory practices.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Sales, IT, Compliance, and other departments to ensure timely customer service and effective communication.
  • Establish and maintain warehouse procedures that support operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the safe operation of warehouse equipment and maintain a clean, secure, and organized facility.
  • Support company goals by driving performance, fostering employee engagement, and partnering with leadership to achieve operational objectives.
  • Manage facility security procedures, including building access, alarm systems, and end‑of‑shift lockup responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience. 2-4 years of warehouse or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervising

    Experience:

    3 years (Required)
  • Shipping & receiving: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Forklift Certification (Preferred)
  • Experience working in an RF environment
  • Experience with Microsoft office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to multi‑task and prioritize competing assignments
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills
  • Effective Communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Result‑oriented and demonstrated ability to consistently complete tasks on time
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
  • OSHA Forklift Operator Certificate.
