Parts Room Attendant - 3rd Shift
This position assists in operating the storeroom and maintaining the machine parts inventory. Duties also include assisting in evaluating overall progress of the department and make appropriate suggestions. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any item at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
Inventory Control
Inventory verification of machine parts in Storeroom
New stock entering into CMMS – Computerized Maintenance Management System
Cycle counting and adjustments to inventory
Retrieval of Parts
Releasing parts from closed parts room and pole bar to authorized personnel for project work
Documenting machine parts usage
Project Work
Maintain minimums in selected categories
Work order completion
Work order parts entry
Stocking
Stocking shelves with incoming parts
Entering receipts into inventory
Verifying machine parts location
Housekeeping
Cleaning of Storeroom & Pole Barn
Education and Experience
High School Diploma, General Educational Development Diploma (GED) or equivalent experience
Classes / certifications valuable but not required
Mechanical Aptitude required
1-year minimum industrial mechanics or parts room experience desirable
Computer ability (MS Office)

Ability to reason potential solutions & apply best solution to problems encountered
Ability to perform duties with high degree of accuracy
Ability to fill Purchaser position as needed
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to work with outside vendors as needed
Communicates clearly & concisely written & verbally
Possess a valid driver's license
Pass fork truck license exam
Detail oriented
On the Job Training regarding knowledge of the work processes, computer systems, operating equipment, quality standards, and safety procedures related to the position

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Sitting- to complete a task at lower levels
Standing- to complete most all tasks

Climbing- to get to parts department, when using ladder, on equipment
Reaching- to perform activities, to get tools out of toolbox
Kneeling- to perform work activities at low levels
Crawling- to perform work activities under equipment
Squatting
Bending/stooping- to pick up tools or parts, to perform work tasks at lower levels or inside a machine
Twisting- to perform work activities
Pinch- to use tools, to manipulate wires
Grasping/handling- using tools, manipulating parts
Must be able to lift and carry boxes of supplies up to 40 pounds to store in parts room
Must be able to operate a fork truck
Must be able to sit intermittently & enter data into database
Must be able to work on feet for periods of time in Storeroom
Must be able to adapt to a flexible work schedule
