Position Overview
dormakaba is seeking a 2nd shift (2:00PM-10:30PM) Materials Lead based in Indianapolis, IN. The Materials Lead is responsible for performing manual and clerical duties and may also utilize computers in the preparation of materials and supplies for assembly and manufacturing. This role typically involves end-to-end ownership of the material replenishment and fulfillment process for all materials in the plant.
CompensationHiring Salary Range: Base Salary $21.00/hr - $23.00/hr plus a $1.00 shift differential and mandatory overtime as needed. Salary will be determined by experience, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
$2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview).

What You Will Do- Help lead and direct workflow and cross‑train new employees coming into the department
- Operate material handling equipment including, but not limited to, Fork Truck, Forklift, Work Assist Vehicle (WAV), Turret Stock Picker (TSP)
- Ensure appropriate stocking levels are maintained without disruption to customers while partnering with other departments
- Examine shipments at the time of delivery for damage and verify accuracy of packing slips, invoices, and bills of lading by inspecting boxes
- Complete material movement transactions utilizing Systems, Applications & Products (SAP) software via RF device or computer
- Pull material parts from bins using a pick list and RF device to fill Transfer Orders (identify specific part/lot number, quantity, and locations of all ordered items)
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer knowledge
- Experience communicating effectively within a manufacturing environment
- Solid Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) experience, or ability to be certified on such equipment; must be comfortable working at heights up to 25 feet
- Stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle and feel
- Reach with hands and arms, climb and balance
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Have good vision with the ability to adjust focus and use close vision with or without correction
- Basic understanding of SAP system
- Experience operating PIVs
