Position Overview

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all warehouse operations in support of project execution, material control, site logistics, inventory management, quality documentation, and safe work practices. This position provides leadership, planning, coordination, and administrative oversight to ensure warehouse activities are executed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company and project requirements.

The Warehouse Manager is a management role and is not responsible for performing manual warehouse labor, equipment operation, or material handling activities unless separately authorized under another job classification.

Responsibilities
  • Lead daily warehouse operations to support project schedules, material readiness, and operational efficiency
  • Supervise warehouse personnel by assigning work, setting priorities, providing coaching, and monitoring performance
  • Coordinate warehouse activities with project management, procurement, logistics, quality, safety, document control, and field supervision
  • Oversee receiving, inventory control, storage, preservation, issuing, and material tracking processes
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure material status visibility through warehouse management systems
  • Manage OS&D (Over, Short & Damaged) materials and ensure timely resolution and documentation
  • Ensure receiving records, material certifications, turnover documentation, and project-required logs are complete, accurate, and properly maintained
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound material movement with vendors, transportation providers, procurement teams, and project leadership
  • Monitor warehouse productivity, identify process improvements, and develop corrective action plans when needed
  • Enforce company safety standards and project procedures while promoting a safe and compliant work environment
  • Verify warehouse personnel receive required training and escalate safety concerns or operational issues as appropriate
  • Provide regular status updates and reporting to the Materials Manager, Director of Materials, and project leadership
  • Support successful project execution by proactively identifying and resolving material, logistics, documentation, and scheduling challenges
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related preferred
  • 3–5 years of warehouse management or materials management experience
  • Experience with inventory management systems and barcode scanning technology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications
  • Experience using or the ability to quickly learn materials tracking software, including systems such as COINS and Tool Watch
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics coordination, and material documentation processes
  • Experience supporting industrial or commercial construction projects
  • Experience working with project material management systems and construction logistics
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and operational performance
