POSITION SUMMARY
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely receipt, handling, storage, preparation and shipment of materials and finished goods. This position verifies incoming materials against purchase orders and shipping documentation, identifies shortages, damage, or discrepancies and ensures materials are routed to the appropriate department or storage location.
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk also prepares customer orders for shipment, maintains accurate shipping, receiving, purchasing and inventory records, performs required ERP system transactions, and coordinates with internal departments to support inventory availability and on-time delivery.

- Receive, unload, unpack, sort, count and inspect incoming materials and supplies.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders, bills of lading, packing slips and other applicable documentation.
- Identify and report shortages, damage, defects or other discrepancies.
- Issue and route received materials to the stockroom, warehouse, production department or other designated location.
- Place materials and supplies in assigned shelves, racks, floor locations or other designated storage areas.
- Handle and move materials in accordance with established safety and material-handling procedures.
- Pick, prepare, pack, label and process customer orders and other materials for shipment.
- Select appropriate boxes, crates, skids, packing materials and other shipping supplies based on product and transportation requirements.
- Properly brace, block, secure and protect products to prevent shifting, damage or loss during transit.
- Process and route outgoing shipments using appropriate transportation methods and established shipping procedures.
- Prepare and maintain required shipping documentation and records.
- Support accurate and on-time delivery of customer orders.
- Maintain accurate purchasing, receiving, shipping and inventory-related documentation.
- Perform required transactions and updates in the ERP system, including purchase order receipts and applicable inventory or purchasing changes.
- Process inventory purchase orders, price changes and other system updates as assigned.
- Coordinate KANBAN purchasing activities with appropriate departments to help maintain inventory at planned levels.
- Maintain shipment files, records, and reports as required.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
- Handle products and materials in a manner that protects product quality and prevents damage.
- Maintain regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
- Work additional hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, as necessary to support business needs and on-time delivery.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Minimum (3) years of relevant shipping and receiving experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience working with ERP systems, Made-2-Manage ERP System preferred
