About Us

Netfor provides business process outsourcing (BPO) services to for-profit, not-for-profit, and government organizations across Field Services, Technical Support, Customer Service, Fulfillment, and Staffing. The Fulfillment team operates the distribution center functions that keep client shipments, inventory, and asset records accurate and on schedule.

Position Overview

The Distribution Center Associate performs the day-to-day physical and administrative work of the distribution center for a fixed 90-day term. This role is responsible for shipping and receiving product and equipment, updating asset records as items move in and out of the facility, and maintaining accurate inventory counts. The position requires attention to detail, reliable attendance, and the ability to follow established warehouse procedures without close supervision once trained.

This is a temporary, fixed-term contract position covering a defined period of need. It does not carry an expectation of renewal or conversion to a permanent role, though either may occur depending on business needs at the end of the term.

Key Responsibilities Shipping
  • Prepare outbound shipments, including packing, labeling, and staging product and equipment for carrier pickup.
  • Select correct packaging materials and shipping methods based on item type, destination, and any client-specific requirements.
  • Generate shipping labels and paperwork accurately, and confirm shipments against pick lists or orders before they leave the facility.
  • Coordinate pickup timing with carriers and maintain a clean, organized outbound staging area.
Receiving
  • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders, and note and report any discrepancies or damage.
  • Unpack, inspect, and stage received items for put-away in the correct storage location.
  • Log receipt of new assets and inventory into the appropriate system promptly and accurately.
Asset and Inventory Management
  • Update asset details (location, status, assignment, condition) as equipment moves through the facility or is issued to field personnel.
  • Perform routine cycle counts and physical inventory checks, and reconcile counts against system records.
  • Flag missing, damaged, or aging inventory and assets to the supervisor for follow-up.
  • Maintain organized, correctly labeled storage areas so items can be located quickly.
General Warehouse Duties
  • Follow all safety procedures for material handling, equipment use, and facility housekeeping.
  • Operate basic warehouse equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks, box cutters, label printers) safely and correctly.
  • Keep accurate, contemporaneous records of shipping, receiving, and inventory activity for audit purposes.
  • Communicate clearly with the supervisor on daily volume, exceptions, and any issues affecting shipment or inventory accuracy.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Prior experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory work preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
  • Basic computer skills sufficient to log activity into an inventory or asset management system.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes and equipment consistent with warehouse work (up to approximately 50 lbs.), and to stand, bend, and move throughout a shift.
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable following documented procedures with minimal supervision once trained.
  • High attention to detail, particularly around counts, labels, and asset records where errors carry downstream cost.
Success Measures
  • Shipping and receiving transactions completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Asset and inventory records kept current, with discrepancies identified and reported rather than left unresolved.
  • Low error rate on cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
  • Consistent, reliable attendance for the full 90-day term.
Reporting
  • Reports directly to the Distribution Center Supervisor.
  • No direct reports.
