Lumper

PFG Customized, a Performance Food Group division, is seeking a Lumper to support our high-volume food service distribution operations. In this on-site dock role, you will safely unload trailers, sort and palletize cases, and stage product for warehouse put-away and outbound loads. You'll inspect shipments, verify counts, and use basic warehouse tools to track product movement. Working in a safety-focused, team-driven environment, you'll help deliver accurate, on-time service to national restaurant and retail chains while building skills for long-term logistics and supply chain growth.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound trailers and containers safely and efficiently using manual and powered equipment
• Sort, palletize, shrink-wrap, and stage product according to warehouse standards
• Inspect loads for damage, verify counts, and report discrepancies or quality issues
• Work closely with warehouse, transportation, and inventory teams to ensure accurate flow of goods
• Maintain clean, organized docks and work areas in compliance with safety and food handling rules
• Follow all OSHA, company, and food safety policies, including PPE and equipment procedures
• Use RF scanners or basic warehouse systems to track product movement and locations
• Meet productivity, accuracy, and reliability standards in a fast-paced environment
• Assist with loading outbound shipments and rearranging product for optimal space use
• Participate in safety meetings, ongoing training, and continuous improvement activities
