Forklift Operator / Receiving Associate Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Forklift Operator / Receiving Associate to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving inbound shipments, verifying products, operating warehouse equipment, and ensuring inventory is accurately stored and tracked. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and take pride in maintaining accuracy and safety.
ResponsibilitiesReceiving & Inventory
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify product quantities, shipment accuracy, and condition.
- Compare shipments against purchase orders and packing documentation.
- Label and organize received materials for storage or processing.
- Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items.
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load, unload, and transport products as needed.
- Follow all equipment safety guidelines and warehouse procedures.
- Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory.
- Put away materials in designated storage locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Identify and report safety concerns.
- Perform basic quality inspections of incoming materials.
- Work closely with warehouse staff, supervisors, and delivery drivers.
- Communicate inventory or shipment issues promptly.
- Support daily operational goals and productivity targets.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or forklift experience preferred.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Experience using RF scanners or warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and positive work ethic.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
- Fast-paced warehouse setting.
- Exposure to varying temperatures.
- Regular interaction with warehouse equipment and shipping operations.
