Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role involves handling essential accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, data entry, and invoice processing. This is a long-term contract position suited for individuals who excel in managing financial operations efficiently.

Responsibilities:

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

- Utilize Quick Books software to manage financial data and ensure accuracy in bookkeeping.

- Perform thorough data entry to maintain updated financial records and ensure compliance.

- Handle invoice processing and resolve discrepancies as needed.

- Support the team with general accounting tasks and administrative duties.

- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and adherence to deadlines.

- Use Excel and other Microsoft Office tools to create and manage financial reports.

- Assist in implementing new systems or processes as required.

- Monitor and reconcile financial records to maintain accuracy.

- Provide attentive support in a business casual work environment. Requirements - Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Hands-on experience with Quick Books for financial data management.

- Strong skills in using Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.

- Ability to perform accurate and efficient data entry.

- Knowledge of invoice processing and resolving discrepancies.

- Associate degree in accounting or a related field.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
