$90,000 - $150,000 base salary
A well-established public accounting firm is seeking an Audit Manager to lead audit engagements, manage client relationships, and mentor audit staff. This role is ideal for a CPA with strong public accounting experience who is looking to take on increased responsibility and grow within a collaborative firm environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and execute multiple audit engagements from start to finish
- Review audit work papers and financial statements to ensure quality and compliance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for audit clients
- Supervise, train, and mentor audit associates and seniors
- Ensure audits are performed in accordance with GAAS and firm standards
- Identify and communicate accounting, internal control, and process improvement opportunities
- Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
- Support leadership with client retention and business development initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
- Active CPA license (required)
- 5+ years of public accounting audit experience
- Prior experience leading engagements and managing staff
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and auditing standards
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
- Competitive base salary range of $90K-$150K, depending on experience
