Key Responsibilities for the AR Specialist:
• Prepare and send accurate customer invoices based on project contracts and billing schedules
• Monitor AR aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding balances
• Apply customer payments and reconcile discrepancies
• Communicate with project managers, accounting, and clients to resolve billing issues
• Manage lien waivers, billing compliance documentation, and client billing portals
• Support month-end close activities and assist with AR reporting
• Maintain detailed, accurate AR records within accounting systems
Qualifications for the AR Specialist:
• 2+ years of accounts receivable or billing experience
• Construction or mechanical contracting industry experience strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
• Clear, professional communicator with both clients and internal teams
• Familiarity with AIA billing and progress billing preferred
• Proficiency with Quick Books and Microsoft Excel
• Organized, dependable, and self-motivated
