Controller
The Controller will be an integral part of the finance and accounting team and report to the CFO. The Manager will be accountable for the integrity of the accounting operations of the company, to include financial data entry, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls, processes and financial policies designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.

Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
Manages outsourced functions.
Oversee the operations of the accounting functions, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.
Oversee the financial reporting requirements for grant awards.
Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner.
Ensure that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable.
Ensure that accounts receivables are collected promptly.
Coordinates with Human Resources the payroll process in a timely manner.
Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed.
Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis.
Maintain the chart of accounts.
Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
Supports the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.
Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Makes confident, fact-based decisions.
Approaches problems from different perspectives in order to suggest and implement solutions.
Forecasts issues in advance in order to prevent potential impacts; both internally and externally.
Facilitates communication between team members to ensure efforts are aligned.
Takes accountability for delivering on commitments; owns mistakes and uses them as opportunities for learning and development.

Adept at using logic and reasoning to work through problems and analyze information.
Effectively manages assigned accounting staff in a manner consistent with organizational policies and values. Maintains an employee feedback process to enhance work processes and employee understanding.

Bachelor's degree required, with a concentration in one of the following disciplines:
Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or business administration
MBA or other graduate degree in Finance related field, preferred
Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations.
10+ years in a corporate accounting or finance role, healthcare experience preferred
Demonstrated success in financial management
High degree of proficiency with Infor Report writing, Excel, Word, and Power Point
Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles
Superior analytical skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong business partnering and interpersonal skills
Organized, flexible and easily adaptable to changing conditions
