Responsibilities
As a Project Accountant, you will support IEI's Alliance/Lilly team by accurately and consistently completing accounting functions for assigned projects.
* Review and process vendor and subcontractor invoices.
* Assist with monthly closings and account reconciliations.
* Review contracts to ensure project billings are prepared accurately.
* Prepare invoice packages with all required supporting documentation.
* Collect and review pertinent subcontractor paperwork.
* Maintain accurate project accounting records and financial documentation.
* Collaborate regularly with project team members and other departments.
* Assist other team members as needed.

What it takes
* A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
* Previous experience in accounting, project accounting, or a similar financial support role is preferred.
* Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with accounting software is beneficial.
* Construction industry experience is a plus but not required.
